Welcome to this blog. I am an educational researcher by choice, a teacher by vocation, musician, artist, husband, parent, Christian and resident of Milton Keynes. The blog contains reflections on issues that affect or just touch on the education of children in the UK and the culture they are growing up in.
Faith in Learning 
Huw, have you seen this new TED Talk by Ken Robinson? It’s basically targetted at the American education system, but to my non-specialist ears, there are plenty of parallels to the disturbing approaches to education from government here.
I will have a look at this soon. Am a huge fan of Ken, and his previous two TED talks, and his excellent RSA Animate video are all required viewing in my school. Thanks for pointing it out.
You are an exceptional man Huw and replacing you at CTS will be virtually impossible. Thank you for all your hard work and the genuine love, care and guidance you have given our son, he is distraught you are leaving.
We are forever in your debt, you will never be forgotten and we are in complete agreement with your reasons for leaving – however sad it makes us.
People are like buildings and at the heart of every young person is a foundation that is built upon as they grow, you have helped lay the stones and mortar to build that very solid foundation in our son and we will endevour to continue building as Tommy grows into a young man.
